So for the second post of the last SBC challenge, I will be evaluating the student challenge itself! I hope this encourages everyone to join the challenge again because I know I had a blast! Let’s get started.

The Student Blogging Challenge has been an amazing experience for me and taught me a lot of the stuff I know about blogging! I would have to say though, by far, my favorite challenge was my ”Deserted Island’ post because it let me be as creative as I could! Another thing I loved was that it has a flipboard magazine to show great students post! I actually was featured on their too! One cool thing about the challenge is that it gives you a mentor who has done the challenge before and they make sure you are doing your posts and commenting! A second one of the cool things it taught me to do was to visit other blogs and leave comments, which I did often. Mostly when I was done with all my work. However, the most important thing the challenge taught me was the importance of commenting. There are real people behind these blogs and that you should take time to write a well-thought out comment for them!

Hello world! So, this is the first part of the very last SBC post! I will be evaluating my own blog! Enjoy!

• How many posts did you write?

This is my 9th Student Blogging Challenge post (and a 10th will be coming soon!) In total of all my posts, I will have written a whopping 37 posts!

• How many were school based, your own interests or set by the challenge?

As you know, 10 of the 37 were for the challenge, and 26 of them were for school assignments. I only had a grand total of 1 post written on my own, but technically that was to help me win a school assignment/challenge. This is mostly because I consider all my How To Weekly Posts ‘my own interests’ because that’s my theme.

• How many comments did you receive from classmates, teachers or oversea students?

I got 13 total comments and 6 of them were from classmates, 1 was from my mentor who was like a blogging teacher, and I had 6 comments from oversea, or foreign, students.

• Which post received the most comments? Why do you think that happened?

For my ‘4 Part Story:Conflict’ it had the most comments, 3,  from just other students. However, there is one other post, the ‘About Me’ post, which had 4 comments on it. Two of those four comments were me replying to people who had commented. I figured I should put both down just so you know.

• Which post did you enjoy writing the most and why?

The post I enjoyed writing the most is probably my ‘Books! WP12’ because it was about reviewing m most recent favorite books, so it was really fun remembering all the fun, sad, exciting, and adventurous details from the books and telling you guys about them!

• Did you change blog themes at all and why?

Yes, I did change blog themes once from Music to How To’s because when I was doing music, I couldn’t find enough to write about every week. Also, we had a class assignment to look for a theme from a list of a bunch of themes on someone else’s blog. And when I saw the How To’s/Tutorials, I remebered that I often do them on the weekends.

• How many widgets do you have? Do you think this is too many or not enough?

I have a total of 16 widgets, located all over my blog, at the bottom and on the sides. I think it is enough because it fills up a good portion of the side of my blog so that you can check out a lot of them, without getting bored.

• How many overseas students do you have on your blogroll?

I think all 5 blogs on my blogroll are oversea, or foreign, to me at least. I’m not exactly sure if they live outside the U.S., however I still think they are “overseas” because they don’t live in California like I do.

• Which web tools did you use to show creativity on your blog?

Some web tools I used to show creativity is a text widget where I include two virtual pets, and also a globe that shows my visitor’s so that I can see how many and where they came from when they visit my blog.

Hello! I wanted to let you guys know that this is the second to last Student Blogging Challenge post! It has been a crazy short 9 weeks and I can’t believe it’s almost over! So for this post, I’m going to write about my future, and what I plan to do with my life. Now, let’s take a look into my future!

First, I would like to go through middle school and high school with straight A’s. Then proceed by apply and going to Stanford because of their beautiful campus and wonderful classes. This might be setting the bar very high, but that’s just the way I work. I would hope to major in something like Psychology or Marketing. I’m also thinking of doing Drama or Theater and Performing Studies. As I continue to study, I also hope to keep pursuing God and going to church. Once I’ve finished college, I hope to have made some new friends as I continue through life.

In the next section of my life, I hope to maybe rent an apartment with my friends as I continue to work and save up money. I would want to work part-time at a job that is easy enough that I can start pursuing my passion. What is my passion, you may ask? Well I know it’s nothing fancy, but I would like to be a counselor for children and students. (Technically, that is only half my passion, but I’ll tell you about that later.)

Why counseling? Well I always wanted to be able to give children someone they could just talk to, someone they could confide their troubles in. I don’t want to be someone they feel forced to be with, or with people who’s parents think they need serious “help”. I hope students fell free to come to me on their own! I want to be a friend who can just have some more personal experience with whatever they are going through. I want to be able to teach them things and help them in the qualities listed on this site.Sometimes it can be harder to talk to your parents because they’re your parents! If you don’t understand why I mean by that, I’m talking about how even though they might have experienced the same thing but they lived in a different time so it really can’t be the exact same thing.

If you still think that counseling is still a bad career choice, let me give you some facts. In a recent study-click here to visit site- between 2010 and 2015, they found that the number of students who came from Behavioral Medicine who were having panic attacks increased by 123%! To give you the exact numbers, it went from 290 in 2010, to 647 in 2015! That’s why I want to help these student who have these worries and end up needing medical help from it!

The final thing I want to do in my future, is to go visit refugee children who just escaped war or terrorists and help bring them food, clothing, shelter, and schooling. In order for them to eventually continue with their life,I want to use my counseling skills to help them overcome the things they’ve seen. This is by far the most important thing I want to do, because I want to make a difference in people’s lives! Thank you guys so much for reading about the rest of my life. For this week we played a commenting game called “Count Out Three”. Click here to see the game. now, we have to write a post about what we think about the commenting.

One thing I enjoyed about commenting is how I really can interact with the blogger by asking questions or relating to them. It is also fun when you have something in common with them! This allows for a special connection with the blogger, and who knows? Maybe one day you’ll meet them in person.

Something annoying about commenting is when you can’t find a way to get that special connection with the blogger. Or if I can’t come up with an interesting question. Also, it can get annoying at times having to constantly say, “Hi I’m Tori and I’m from California!” It can be difficult coming up with a new introduction.

I have found some interesting posts to comment on, but I would say what makes them interesting is when they include a rare fact about themselves or an object. It shows us a little bit about what they are like or what they like. Then it also makes it easier to write about when commenting.

My posts get some quality comments, however I think most of my comments are one sentence quick response that people don’t put much effort into. However I still love getting comments, I just wish some people would put more thought into them. I think these people don’t often right good responses because they are in a rush to complete an assignment, or they already know you and have visited you blog and made a good quality comment.

This is Part 2 to the SBC7! This is the research portion of my assignment this week. So I will be looking up all the info I can find about a specific board game! The board game will be: Monopoly!!! Let’s get started!

Monopoly was invented on November 5, 1935 by the Parker Brothers. Some people actually think it was invented by Charles Darrow because he was the original makers, yet it was the Parker Brothers who fixed it up and bought it as their own. This would be a huge debate later in the process.

It was originally called “Auction Monopoly” but by later in the 1920’s was called just Monopoly and became America’s best selling game when it released. People tried to make another type of game just like it called “Finance”, but then the Great Depression hit and it was put to rest. There were more lawsuits about other copies of the game, but they were brushed away.

Some people claimed Charles Darrow should get the money. Eventually, the Paarker Brothers just paid him $10,000 to hand over hsi rights and stay quiet. Overall the Parker Brothers won. Now it has been improving over the last sixty years since then into what we have today!

So for the next SBC assignment, I am to write about a scenario where my family is stranded on an island with only our clothes. How to we entertain ourselves? I’ll get right to it!

If I was stranded on an island with my family and we had nothing but our clothes, I would entertain myself in many ways. One thing I would do is to have my family help me build a little hut out of palm leaves. It would take awhile and we would have to find some string or break a piece of our clothes off to tie the leaves together to a stick. However, I think it would keep our family occupied and possibly bring us closer together.

The second thing I would do is to play tag or hide-and-seek with my two brothers on the beach or hidden in the jungle, as long as we don’t get lost! I would probably be by myself against my two brothers and make some major competition out of the smallest game cause that’s just how we roll! My dad might even come and help me out if I’m

The third activity I would do is to see if I could make a weapon by breaking a rock and tying it to a stick. Then I would make another one for the middle brother and we would have a competition to see who could throw it the farthest or who could spear the most fruit in 1 minute. My little brother would try to help and my parents would time us! I would obviously be the champion. Not!
